Gift card terms
These terms cover Violineseacraft gift cards bought on this website. They sit alongside our general terms of sale and do not limit any statutory right you or the recipient cannot waive. This is a plain-language summary for transparency; Violineseacraft confirms the final wording with qualified counsel before launch.
What a gift card is
A gift card is stored value you can spend on Violineseacraft orders. It is issued in EUR, is not a bank or e-money product, and cannot be exchanged for cash except where national law requires us to pay out a small remaining balance. A gift card cannot be used to buy another gift card.
How it is delivered
Once we confirm payment, the card is emailed to the recipient address you give us — straight away, or on the date you schedule in the store’s timezone. Please check that address carefully. We cannot recover a card sent to an address entered incorrectly, though we can re-send it to that same address.
Activating and spending it
The recipient adds the card to their account before spending it. Once claimed, it belongs to that account and is not transferable through self-service. A card can be spent across as many orders as you like until the balance runs out; you are never required to use the full value in one purchase, and we charge no fee for holding a balance.
How long it lasts
Our gift cards are valid for one year from the date of issue. Where a purchase is governed by Irish law, the card stays valid for at least 5 years from the date of purchase with no dormancy fees, under the Consumer Protection (Gift Vouchers) Act 2019; whichever period is longer applies. We email the recipient before a card is due to expire.
Changing your mind (EU and EEA consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you have 14 days from the day the card is delivered to cancel the purchase for a full refund to your original payment method, provided the card is completely unused. To cancel, email our support team with your order reference. Once a card has been used, in whole or in part, the purchase is complete and this 14-day right no longer applies. This is separate from the rights the recipient has over anything they later buy with the card.
If a card is lost
Treat a gift card like cash. We can re-send the delivery email to the original address, but we cannot restore value that someone else has already spent using the code, except where the law requires it.
Fraud and chargebacks
We may freeze or cancel a card where the purchase is fraudulent, charged back, or refunded.
